This style of massage is geared toward injury and recovery.  During the session there is a constant dialog between client and therapist focused on muscle releases and flushing of the tissue.  It incorporates cross fiber friction and trigger point therapy.  Multiple massage techniques are used to peel through muscles layer by layer to address deep tissue. Pressure used by the therapist goes from superficial to deep as layers release.  Not to be confused with a deep pressure massage, which is a massage preformed with a steady deep pressure.
